Distributed Tower Top Transceiver Systems for Mobile Communications Abstract Over the last few years demand for the capacity and performance in wireless communications systems has rapidly increased. Wireless systems frequently employ electronic beamforming capabilities in order to be up to these demands. The target of this project is to design the usefulness of tower-top based electronics in beamforming where the minimum degree of phase offset and good power synchronisation accuracy should be achieved. The 2x2 array of transmitters calibration scheme with the ability to control phase and amplitude is presented.
