Personal Info: Alexis has been studying for two years at ENSTA, a French engineering school in Paris. One year before achieving his engineering degree, he is carrying out a research internship at NUIM from May 16th to July 29th 2011. His work will focus on the efficient modelling of a flap-type wave energy converter in a time-domain simulation. The goal is to determine whether methods and codes that have already been used at COER to predict non-linear behaviours of wave-energy converters can possibly be applied to this particular device.
